Tampa, FL -- Winter weather in the NE has created more headaches for travelers.
At least 28 flights and more than two dozen delays are in effect at Tampa International Airport. Those numbers are expected to grow as the day progresses.

Barbara Cox is one of thousands of travelers across the country feeling the impact of so far, more than 600 flight delays and 2,262 cancellations.
"I got a text on my way here saying my flight is now delayed to 10:25 and I'm like, 'OK,'" said Cox.
Cox told 10 News that she was supposed to take off from TIA Tuesday morning and arrive in Baltimore later in the day, but got delayed due to a winter storm making its way toward the northeast.
"The snow is supposed to start coming down at 7 or 8 this morning, heavy at midday... so it's not looking pretty for me and my commute back home," said Cox.
Cox was in Tampa for a seminar and decided to extend her getaway, but never imagined she'd risk getting stuck at the airport.
"I will search every airline to get a flight back home. I can't be stranded. I just I can't, I can't," Cox.
If you are traveling, it is best to call ahead or check your flight status online before you head out to make sure that your flight is on time.
