Forecast: Hot & Humid; Scattered Storms This Weekend

We will start to see increasing moisture as we head into Father's Day weekend.  A frontal boundary will wash out over the northern Nature Coast keeping the possiblility of showers through Saturday morning. It will be a warm and muggy start to the day with partly cloudy skies.  Seabreeze storms will fire up in the afternoon, mainly after 3PM.  The favored location will be areas along and east of I-75. 

On Sunday afternoon, thunderstorms will have a better chance of developing near the coast late in the day as a SE flow establishes this weekend. Rain chances will be around 30-40%.

Overnight Patchy fog after 5am. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 72.

Saturday A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 92. Heat index values as high as 101. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Saturday Night A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 71. North northeast wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Sunday A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. East wind 5 to 7 mph. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
