Forecast: Warm with a stray shower

As the area of high pressure moves off the southeastern US, our winds will shift to the southeast, giving us a warm and humid day for Thursday with variable clouds and an isolated shower inland.

Another cold front will approach the area late Saturday increasing our chances for rain. The cold front will lift back north as a warm front early next week, keeping rain chances in the forecast through Wednesday.

Thursday Partly sunny, with a high near 80. East wind 6 to 9 mph becoming south in the afternoon.

Thursday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 65. Southeast wind around 6 mph.

Friday Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. Southeast wind 6 to 14 mph becoming south southwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 18 mph.

Friday Night A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Areas of fog after 1am. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 68. South wind 7 to 10 mph.
