Showers and rain Wednesday

A low tracks over Georgia and rain will slide south Wednesday. The front stalls south of Tampa Bay Thursday resulting in light overrunning rain which will build back north into the evening.  Rain chances will be higher north of Tampa Wednesday and then south of Tampa on Thursday.  Drier air works south during the day Friday. Colder air slides south late Saturday making for a colder Sunday.  A freeze is possible Monday morning especially around the Nature Coast.

Tonight Areas of fog after 1am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 64. South wind 7 to 9 mph.

Wednesday Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 1pm. Areas of fog before 10am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 80. South wind 9 to 14 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Wednesday Night A chance of showers, mainly before 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. West wind 6 to 11 mph becoming north northwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Thursday A 60 percent chance of showers, mainly after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 71. North northwest wind 6 to 10 mph. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
