A cold front is moving through the area today bringing a few storms midday. Some of those could be strong with gusty winds, but most of the severe weather will stay to our north mainly in the Carolinas. The storms are now east of I75 so rain will end and some sunshine will come back out this afternoon. The winds will be up all day and will turn to the WNW behind the front later today. This means falling temperatures late today and of course tonight.
It will be cool tomorrow starting in the 40s and topping out in the low to mid 60s. It's warmer on Friday with showers and storms with the next front on Saturday.
Today: Partly cloudy start then a thin line of showers and storms moving through by lunch time. There is a slight chance for severe weather with gusty winds the main threat. It will be breezy with winds SW-WNW 15-25 mph with gusts in the 30s.
Tonight: Mainly clear skies and much cooler. Winds will gradually decrease to NW 15 mph with lows in the mid to upper 40s.
Thursday: Mostly sunny and cooler. Highs in the low to mid 60s. Winds NW 10-15 mph.
