One more warm day then storms followed by huge cool down
For tonight, expect clear skies and dry conditions. It will be cool, but actually a little above average this time of year. Look for low temperatures around 58 degrees in Tampa.
Thursday expect it to start sunny and stay that way for a good part of the day. Then we will see increasing clouds and the winds are set to pick up through the afternoon. This is all ahead of a strong cold front. It is still warm Thursday (for one last day) with high temps around 80 degrees. Winds pick up through the day form the south around 5 - 15mph, with higher gusts late in the day around 20mph.
Scattered thunderstorms are likely in the overnight hours Thursday night going into Friday morning. At this time it looks like around 1am - 5am through the 10 News viewing area with mainly scattered thunderstorms expected, but the Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma has issued a Slight Risk for severe storms just north of the Nature Coast so it would be smart to monitor the progress of this weather. There is also a possibly we will adjust this time if the front speeds up or slows down so keep checking back.
Behind this front comes the much, much cooler weather. High temps Friday-Sunday are going to be in the mid 60's and morning lows this weekend are going to be in the low 40's, and yes that means temps in the 30's for our northern Counties.
Stay tuned and as we get closer we will keep you updated on all of the latest details.
