Finally we are moving toward a more wet weather pattern.  We have been very dry lately, but a cold front headed this way is about to help us out.  Clouds have already thickened but we are still warming up to the mid to upper 70s.  The stage is set for a few showers and storms this afternoon and tonight.  The front arrives tomorrow but will slow down and linger in the area through late Wednesday.  That means an extended chance for rain and storms through late Wednesday with clearing beginning on Thursday.

*There is a small chance for severe weather on Tuesday with the main threat being gusty winds and small hail. The greatest risk will come int he afternoon hours.

The front will also bring a slight cool down, but the highs behind the front at the end of this week will still be a touch above the average of 73.

Today: Patchy dense fog this morning followed by partly sunny skies.  Clouds will thicken with scattered showers and even a storm this afternoon into the evening.  Highs will be in the low 80s.  Winds will be SE-SW 10 mph with some patchy sea fog along the coast.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers mainly ending after midnight.  Rain will return early Wednesday.  Winds will be SW 5 mph with lows in the mid 60s.
