Forecast: Front Stalls; Scattered Storms on Monday

A few showers and storms associated with a cool front across the area will continue to move onshore from the Gulf overnight.  Monday will stay unsettled as the front stalls across south central Florida with a chance of rain throughout the day.  High pressure settling in across the southeastern US will eventually cause the front to move into South Florida, with drier air moving into the Tampa Bay area.

Overnight Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 74. West southwest wind 6 to 11 mph becoming light. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Monday Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 87. Calm wind becoming west 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. .

Tuesday Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 89. Northeast wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Wednesday Isolated showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. East northeast wind 10 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Thursday Isolated showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. East northeast wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday Isolated showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
