Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - United States men's national team manager Jurgen Klinsmann named his final 23-man roster on Thursday for the upcoming CONCACAF Gold Cup.

After being left off the roster for several of the Americans' World Cup qualifiers, Los Angeles Galaxy forward Landon Donovan makes his return to the national side.

Donovan, 31, is the most decorated United States player, scoring 49 goals on the international level in 144 appearances.

In addition to the return of Donovan, several MLS youngsters will look to make their mark as Houston Dynamo defender Corey Ashe and Philadelphia Union striker Jack McInerney both received their first call-up to the senior national team.

Ashe was called in for last month's friendly against Belgium, but withdrew because of injury, while McInerney has been opening eyes all season in Philadelphia. The 20-year-old forward has netted an MLS-best 10 goals for the Union this season.

Real Salt Lake veteran Nick Rimando leads a trio of MLS goalkeeper, while Bolton's Stuart Holden is back after getting called in for recent World Cup qualifiers.

The winner of the 2013 Gold Cup, which gets underway on July 7, will compete in a playoff with the winner of the 2015 event for the right to represent CONCACAF at the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup.
