Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Jack McInerney's stoppage-time equalizer allowed the Philadelphia Union to snatch a 1-1 draw against Toronto FC at BMO Field on Saturday.

TFC was forced to play the final 50 minutes of the match with 10 men after Doneil Henry collected his second yellow card, but the hosts still managed to outplay Philadelphia for large stretches of the second half and even took the lead in the 66th minute through a goal from Jonathan Osorio.

The goal put the hosts on the verge of snapping a 10-match winless streak, but McInerney found the ball at his feet in stoppage time following a corner kick and he drove a low shot inside the left post to help his side claim a point.

Sebastien Le Toux came close to opening the scoring for the Union in the 20th minute when his first-time shot from inside the area struck the crossbar.

Toronto was down to 10 men shortly before halftime after Henry collected a second booking for bringing down Danny Cruz on the edge of the penalty area.

But despite the numerical disadvantage, TFC almost went in front in the 61st when a header from Steven Caldwell narrowly sailed over the crossbar.

Substitute Jeremy Brockie set up Osorio's goal five minutes later, but Philadelphia was able to leave with a point thanks to McInerney's late heroics.
