Tampa, Florida-- The former face of the franchise returned to the sight of his greatest success. Vincent Lecavalier skated around the ice at the Tampa Bay Times forum like he had hundreds of times before, yet for the first time he didn't have on a Lightning jersey.
"Just putting on the Flyers jersey for the first time was a little weird but you get used to it," said Lecavalier. "But I don't know how I'm going to feel (playing the Lightning), but it's going to be a special night and I'm really excited about it."
Prior to Lecavalier's first game against the Bolts in his 15-season career, the team plans to honor their all-time leading goal scorer. The Flyers matchup with the Lightning begins at 7:30 on Wednesday night.
