TAMPA, Florida (AP) - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have completed their coaching staff for next season, hiring Mike Phair as assistant defensive line coach and Carlos Polk as assistant special teams coach.
Phair spent the last three seasons with the Chicago Bears, two of them under new Bucs coach Lovie Smith. Polk was assistant special teams coach for the San Diego Chargers from 2010-12.
The team announced the hirings on Friday.
Including himself, Smith has a staff of 20 coaches -- four less than the 24 on Greg Schiano's staff.
