Tampa, FL-- Bucs' quarterback Mike Glennon was named to the Pro Football Writers of America All-Rookie team.
"It's something that I'm proud of," said Glennon. "A lot of work went into this year, but I also received a lot of help from my teammates to put me in situations to succeed. Hopefully this is something to build on going forward, as I'm already starting to prepare for next year."
Glennon started the final 13 games of the season, as the Bucs went 4-9. Glennon completed 59% of his passes, for 2,068 yards, with 19 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. He led all rookie quarterbacks in passing touchdowns and passer rating at 83.9%.
Two quarterbacks were chosen ahead of Glennon in the 2013 NFL Draft... E.J. Manuel went to the Buffalo Bills in the 1st round, and Geno Smith went to the New York Jets in the 2nd round.
Glennon was a 3rd round pick out of North Carolina State.
