Tampa, Florida-- It's called Turkey Time with the O-Line. It's a giveaway with 700 turkey dinners for 700 families, who all left One Buc Place Tuesday night with huge holiday smiles thanks to the Buccaneers.

"We just don't realize how fortunate and blessed we are in that we take little things for granted," said lineman Demar Dotson. "There's somebody out there that really needs this and to be able to do it means a lot to you."

Pro Bowl lineman Davin Joseph got it all started back in 2007. He and former lineman Jeremy Trueblood saw a need in the Bay Area and felt compelled to help out.

"It was the holiday season and we wanted to give back to our community," said Joseph. "So, we just had the idea of giving away some Thanksgiving Day meals."

It's gotten bigger each year. Including Tuesday night, the Bucs have provided 4,200 meals to underprivleged families in seven years. The fans get the food but the players get the joy.

"We want to continue to keep it going after I retire,' said Donald Penn. "We want the other O-Lines to come in and keep doing this for years and years to come because this is a great opportunity we have. I'm very fortunate and happy that we are able to give back and do this."

Players gave families who drove up to the complex a full meal including a 10-12 pound turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, vegetables and a pie. Some lucky fans were even surprised with autographed footballs and tickets to an upcoming game.
