Hello Joe Bucs Fans!
How long can the Bucs ride this wave of good fortune, and winning football? Can they make it 2 in a row, and start printing playoff tickets?
Optimism and confidence are high around One Buc this week, but let's peel back the onion a little bit.
On offense, the Bucs put 140 yards on the board from their ground game. Excellent production. But remember, the top two runners now are Brian Leonard and Bobby Rainey. They are the 4th and 5th running backs this year. Can they keep up this production? Maybe a better question, can the offensive line keep up the kind of blocking they had in the Dolphins' game? Let's not discount the contribution the Jamon Meredith at guard.
Mike Glennon continues his effective play, which may be enough if the defense can come through again.
They played well against the Dolphins. They got big plays, from guys like Lavonte David, Gerald McCoy, and Darrelle Revis. When they really meant something, in crunch time. The big guys have to produce, at key moments...
And this week, they're playing a reeling Atlanta Falcons team that's lost 3 in a row. And has the worst running game in the NFL.
Don't look now, but the Bucs could make it 2 in a row.
I'm DW, and I'll see you at the game.
