Hello, Joe Bucs Fan. Football's on a Thursday night this week and could this be the end for Greg Schiano? This is the week where it makes the most sense, on a time basis.
The Bucs won't have another game for 10 days, Nov. 3 in Seattle. That would give the interim coach, like Dave Wannstedt, a little more time to get settled and get the team ready.
But then again, remember, the Glazers have never fired a coach in the middle of the season -- always at the end. It's just not their style to do it mid-season.
It's just hard to see Schiano surviving all this losing even if they start to win a few games.
We are seeing a few good things. Mike Glennon is playing better and showing some grasp of the offense and moving the chains. We don't know if he's the long-term answer, but he is improving. He's going to have to, since Doug Martin is out with the shoulder injury.
The defense will have a lot to contend with, namely an improving Cam Newton. He's been on fire the last two games.
Schiano said this week, they'll win their share this season, but that share is getting smaller by the week.
I'm DW -- and I'll see you at the game.
