Redskins rout Bucs, 30-12

Tampa, FL-- The Washington Redskins routed the Bucs, 30-12, in the final preseason game. The Bucs finished 1-3 in the preseason.

The only score of the 4th quarter was a 50-yard field goal from Rian Lindell.

The Bucs' offense managed very little -- just 146 yards of total offense. Mike Glennon was 7 of 16 passing, for 63 yards, with an interception and a fumble.

The teams exchanged field goals in the 3rd quarter. Derek Dimke from 30 yards out for the Bucs. He missed an extra point earlier. Kai Forbath from 47 yards out for the Redskins, his 3rd of the game.

The Bucs' offense have picked up just 117 yards through 3 quarters.  Dan Orlovsky replaced Mike Glennon in the 3rd quarter.

On the Redskins' opening drive, 4th-team QB Pat White hit former Buc receiver Dezmon Briscoe for a 66 yard gain. Evan Royster ran for the touchdown from a yard out, for a 7-0 lead.

Former Buc kicker Kai Forbath booted a pair of field goals in the first half, from 37 and 30 yards.

Former Florida State running back Chris Thompson returned a punt 69 yards for a touchdown for the Redskins. They led 17-0 at the end of the 1st quarter.

The lone bright spot for the Bucs, was a defensive touchdown.  Linebacker Najee Goode returned an interception 37 yards for a score in the 2nd quarter.

Mike Glennon was picked off by David Amerson, that led to another Redskins touchdown a 7-yard run by White and a 27-6 halftime lead for Washington.

The Bucs managed just 35 yards of total offense in the first half. QB Glennon was 4 of 13 passing, for 13 yards, and an interception.

Bucs' linebacker Tom Crabtree was carted off the field with an ankle injury, and will not return.
