Tampa, FL-- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed free agent RB Peyton Hillis to a one-year contract.
Hillis is 27 years old, and is entering his 6th year in the NFL. He's played for Denver, Cleveland, and Kansas City in his first 5 years.
Hillis had an outstanding season in 2010 with Cleveland, with over 1600 yards from scrimmage, and 13 touchdowns. He's also been hurt during his career.
He will back up Doug Martin in the backfield for the Bucs. After Martin, the Bucs are thin at the position.
They dropped RB Matt Brown.
