Tampa, Florida -- The "line shift" call from the Saints' game Sunday, just can't seem to escape Bucs' head coach Greg Schiano. He maintains it was a legal call, and the NFL agreed.
But the referee ruled that the Bucs used on-field words "designed to disconcert an offensive team at the snap." And that's why the Bucs were hit with a 15-yard unsportsmanlike penalty.
Schiano was asked about it again on Tuesday, and whether he was amused he was getting a reputation for unusual calls on the field.
"I'm not amused," said Schiano. "I think it comes with the territory... We're not afraid to do what we think is right... Maybe it's a little different than what's been done... The thing that's frustrating is when what happened Sunday happened... And you don't believe it's bad... I've said enough."
The Bucs will depart for Minneapolis Wednesday, for Thursday night's game with the Vikings on national TV.
