Tampa, Florida - Paralyzed Former Rutgers Defensive Tackle Eric LeGrand made his first visit to Buccaneers headquarters on Tuesday, after being signed by Head Coach Greg Schiano as a free agent.

LeGrand met with General Manager Mark Dominik while watching OTA's and spoke with his fellow teammates afterward, saying it was a dream come true to finally be part of an NFL team.

"I can't even explain how happy I am for my dream to come true with Coach Schiano putting it together, and everyone making it finally come true. I may not be in the situation I want to be in, but I can finally say I am there. My next goal is to get back on my feet and that will happen," said LeGrand.

"I don't know if this happened to me that I could be the man that Eric is, so when I look at him and I look at guy who should be referred to as heroes, this guy is in my book a true hero and a true inspiration," said Schiano.

LeGrand announced that his number 52 Buccaneers jersey will be on sale on the Buccaneers website and that the proceeds will benefit his foundation for spinal injury research.
