St. Petersburg, FL - The last Rays home game during the regular season had the Trop about half full -- around 18,000 fans. Placing 30th out of 30 teams in attendance is what may be changing people's minds when it comes to talk of a new stadium across the Bay.
According to a Tamp Bay Times, Bay News 9 and WUSF public media poll, out of 809 respondents, 48% were open to letting the Rays explore options all over the Tampa Bay area, 39% were opposed and 13% were unsure or did not answer.
Earlier this year there was talk about where a stadium could work if the Rays went to Tampa and we asked a top sports economist if the Rays did move to other side of the Bay, where could they go? See what he had to say, click here.
