Tampa Bay Rays acquire relief pitcher Wesley Wright from Houston Astros

St. Petersburg, Florida -- The Tampa Bay Rays have acquired LHP Wesley Wright from the Houston Astros off of waivers.

Wright is 28 years old, and leads American League lefthanders with 54 appearances. He's got a 3.92 ERA this season, with a 2.08 ERA since the All-Star Break, averaging about a strikeout per inning pitched.

Wright is expected to join the Rays for Tuesday's game against the Seattle Mariners.

The team has not announced who will be moved to make room for Wright.
