Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - Teddy Purcell scored a tie-breaking goal in the third period and Steven Stamkos sealed Tampa Bay's 4-2 win over the visiting Philadelphia Flyers with his 200th career tally.
Ondrej Palat and Tom Pyatt both lit the lamp in the first period for the Lightning, who notched their second straight home win on the heels of a five- game skid at the Tampa Bay Times Forum.
Pyatt is playing on a line with rookies Tyler Johnson and Cory Conacher.
"A lot of pride obviously, it shows the confidence that coach has in our line right now," said Pyatt after the game. "We have great chemistry obviously coming from Syracuse. We like to buzz and we are all three fast guys that like to play hard, so we'll take it. To have three guys that are fast and can grind it out and play different styles, it brings an edge to our team."
Anders Lindback turned away 28 of the 30 shots Philadelphia fired in his direction.
Claude Giroux and Maxime Talbot scored for the Flyers, who have dropped four straight on the road. Ilya Bryzgalov made 23 saves in defeat.
