Bradenton, FL-- On the recruiting trail, the big, left-handed quarterback for Bradenton Manatee High, Cord Sandberg, has given a verbal commitment to play at Mississippi State.

Sandberg is coming off a state championship. He's a dual-threat quarterback, who's been compared to Tim Tebow.

Dan Mullen coached Tebow at Florida. Mullen now coaches at Mississippi State.

"I've always wanted to play in the SEC," Cord Sandberg told 247Sports.com. "I love coach Dan Mullen's offense, and how he develops quarterbacks. I knew for awhile now, where I wanted to go, so Monday was an exciting day. Coach Mullen was pretty excited, too, when I told him."
