Athens, OH (Sports Network) - D.J. Cooper scored 16 points to lead the Ohio
University Bobcats to a 69-64 victory over the St. Bonaventure Bonnies at the
Cooper shot 5-of-12 from the floor and added eight assists and two steals in
yet another win for the Bobcats (6-0). Cooper was joined in double-figure
scoring by Walter Offutt with 14 points and Nick Kellogg with 13.
In the loss for the Bonnies (3-2), it was Eric Mosley off the bench who
tallied a game-high 19 points, shooting 6-of-8 from three-point range. Chris
Johnson contributed 17 points, with Charlon Kloof and Demitrius Conger both
Ohio led 37-29 at halftime despite allowing the Bonnies to shoot 50.0 percent
from the field and 6-of-7 beyond the arc.
St. Bonaventure fought back in the second half, but only 2-of-7 accuracy on the
perimeter and 11-of-18 at the free-throw line prevented the squad from getting
into the win column.
The Bonnies, who shot just 14-of-25 at the charity stripe, turned the ball
over 20 times in the loss, leading to 21 points for Ohio.
