Kansas City, MO (Sports Network) - Kendrys Morales snapped a tie game in the
ninth with a two-run homer and the Seattle Mariners took a 6-4 win from the
Kansas City Royals Wednesday in the third test of a four-game series.
Morales came to the plate with two out against Aaron Crow (7-5) and sent his
fourth pitch offering over the center field wall.
Danny Farquhar made the two-run edge stand by setting down the Royals in order
during their final turn, recording his 12th save. It was only the Mariners'
fourth win in 13 games.
Jarrod Dyson knocked in two during a four-run fourth for Kansas City, which
had a three-game win streak stopped. Starter Ervin Santana lasted only 3 1/3
innings, charged with four runs, seven hits and three walks.
