St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - Jaime Garcia pitched eight strong innings as Matt Holliday's 2-run home run lifted the St. Louis Cardinals to a 2-1 win over the Cincinnati Reds at Busch Stadium.

Garcia (3-1) scattered just seven hits and a run for St. Louis, which snapped a three-game losing skid and knotted the three-game set with Cincinnati. Carlos Beltran went 3-for-4.

Bronson Arroyo (2-3) was solid as well despite the loss. Although he went without a strikeout for the first time this season, Arroyo went seven innings, allowing both runs.
