Tampa, Florida -- Veterans are furnishing their homes for free all thanks to the Veterans Thrift Store.

A local couple created the shop located off North Nebraska Avenue and East Waters Avenue in Tampa. They've been open just one month, and business is doing so well that they already need a larger space.

David and Connie Lindsay collect donations of furniture, clothes, and electronics, and sell them to the public. Their earnings go toward paying rent space and maintaining their three Bay area homes for struggling veterans.

The couple is looking to find someone who can rent them a larger building.

They do not use any federal grant money; it's all done through small donations and their own funding.
