Tampa, Florida -- All the airtime Florida's Congressional District 13 race received in Tampa Bay seems to have confused some Hillsborough County voters into thinking it was their Congressperson up for election.

Hillsborough's Supervisor of Elections Office confirms to 10 News that people were calling and showing up to the polls on Tuesday, wondering why they couldn't vote in the special election between David Jolly, Alex Sink and Lucas Overby.

RESULTS: District 13 Special Election

The Elections Office couldn't provide specific numbers, but said the phone calls did run into the hundreds.

Florida's 13th Congressional District only covers portions of Pinellas County.
