Tampa, Florida -- Local barbers and dozens of volunteers came together Saturday in South Tampa, leaving lots and lots of hair on the ground.
More than two dozen people signed up to lose their locks and raise money for St. Baldrick's Foundation, which benefits childhood cancer patients like 14-year-old Samantha Lee.
"It's crazy to think that this many people know about it, that this many people care, because we need a lot of people to cure this disease," Lee said.
After a battle with leukemia, Lee can now call herself cancer free.
The group at MacDinton's Pub in South Tampa is working to make this a yearly tradition. They raised close to $26,000 on Saturday to keep kids like Samantha Lee healthy.
