PINELLAS COUNTY, Florida - Once again, Gov. Rick Scott has refused to indicate if he supports Florida's red light camera law, or if he supports any of the reform or repeal efforts advancing through the legislature.

The 2010 Mark Wandall Traffic Safety Act regulates red light cameras (RLC) in Florida, but it faces numerous challenges from legislators this spring. A powerful state senator and numerous leaders from the House are trying to pass a repeal bill in 2014, and many acknowledge lawmakers will for sure at least pass a reform bill this year.

But the legislative efforts would likely need the governor's signature to make it into law. And Scott has repeatedly dodged 10 Investigates' questions as to whether he supports red light cameras or any of the proposed reforms.

"Well, I know the legislature's looking at (reforms & repeals)," Scott said when asked about whether he supports red light cameras, "and as they show me what they're going to do, I'll be glad to look at it."

Following that response, 10 Investigates again asked Gov. Scott if he supports RLC techonology after three years in office:

"So, the legislature's reviewing it, and I'll be glad to look at it as they review it."

Asked if there was any bill the governor would not look at if passed by the legislature, Scott laughed and said, "Yes."
