Tampa, Florida -- Four fraternity brothers were killed in a head-on collision early Sunday morning on Interstate 275.

"I saw this big car going the wrong direction next to me on the highway, so I pulled out my cell phone," said Jada Wright.

Original story: Four killed in wrong way crash

Wright was driving southbound on I-275 just after 2:00 a.m. when she spotted what FHP said was a 2001 Ford Expedition going southbound in the northbound lanes.

"I was about to stop recording and then it crashed, and I screamed and screamed," said Wright.

Even though she does not want to remember the explosion, she will not forget the sound of the crash.

"I can still hear it. It's like a loud crack, crushing noise."

Wright did finally stop recording on her cell phone after the explosion when the SUV crashed into what FHP later said was a 2010 Hyundai Sonata.

"I felt so badly for those people in the accident," said Wright.

The students in the Hyundai Sonata were 21-year-old Dammie Yesudhas, a mechanical engineering and mathematics major at USF from Melbourne; 20-years-old Imtiyaz "Jim" Ilias, a health science for nursing major at USF from Fort Meyers; 21-year-old Jobin Kuriakose, a political science and business major at USF from Orlando; and 22-year-old Ankeet Patel from Melbourne, a finance major at USF.

Advisors in the Sigma Beta RHO fraternity talked with 10 News about their brotherhood's devastating loss.

"From our fraternity, our prayers go out to the families of our friends," said the Sigma beta RHO alumni advisor, Jigar Patel, who lives in Largo.  "These were great guys. They meant a lot to us and they meant a lot to our chapter."

Patel said he knew all four students and was there when Ankeet Patel and Jim Ilias joined the fraternity last fall, November 2013.

"All four of these guys are very outgoing, happy guys. They joined the fraternity, they are very passionate about it," said Patel.

The fraternity is planning a memorial on Thursday night at USF's MLK building at 7:00 p.m.
