PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Pennsylvania State Police have arrested two suspects in connection with the armed abduction of two young children in Lancaster County Thursday night. Investigators say the children were located and are safe.

The abduction prompted an Amber Alert.

The car was stopped Friday morning where Route 1 meets the Schuylkill Expressway near City Line Avenue in Philadelphia.

CBS 3's helicopter was over the scene where it showed Pennsylvania State Troopers placing two men under custody.

At 7:30 p.m. Thursday, police say three-year-old Erielys Ahorrio and four-year-old John Ahorrio were abducted from a home on Almanac Avenue in Lancaster City.

According to police, the children were abducted by their father, 23-year-old Eddie Ahorrio Jr., and grandfather, 47-year-old Eddie Ahorrio Sr.

Police say the pair took them last night at gunpoint after beating up their mother's boyfriend.

They fled the area in a Nissan Altima black in color bearing Pennsylvania Registration JJG-8170.
