Tampa- It was an emotional National Signing Day at Jefferson High, as tears rolled down Chavez Pownell's face, while thanking his family and coaches. He realized at that point that the goal he has worked so hard for had culminated with a flick of the pen and signing his commitment to play football at the University of Wyoming.
The surprise of the five players that signed their letter of intent, was former Dragons quarterback Dieondre Porter who will filed his commitment to the University of Florida. Porter had verbally committed to stay in his hometown of Tampa and play at South Florida.
Porter's jump to the orange and blue, left Juwuan Brown as the only Jefferson senior that will line up for USF next fall.
