Dunedin, Florida -- Pinellas County detectives are seeking the public's assistance in locating a grand theft and child abuse suspect.
Last year on Sunday, November 3, the suspect entered the Dunkin Donuts on Main Street in Dunedin. The suspect was accompanied by a 14-year-old boy who he was acquainted with.
Reportedly, the suspect whispered boy and coaxed him to a nearby table. The juvenile grabbed a Samsung Galaxy cell phone off the table and then placed it in his pocket.
The cell phone has since been recovered and detectives are now asking for the public's assistance in locating the suspect.
The suspect has been identified as 37-year-old Freddie Garcia Ramos. Ramos also goes by the alias of Jorge Guillermo Reyes and is described as:
- A Hispanic male
- Black hair, brown eyes
- Approximately 5'11", weighing 240 pounds
- He is known the frequent the areas of Tampa, Miami and Dunedin
