Zephyrhills, FL - A 56-year-old Zephyrhills woman is accused of grabbing her 9-year-old neighbor and holding her captive all day.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office says Diane Marcino tried to get the girl to come inside her home on her way to her bus stop Wednesday morning. When the girl refused, deputies say Marcino grabbed the girl by her backpack and pulled her inside.

The girl said to investigators that Marcino told her she had to come inside, because there were bad people after her.

According to Marcino's arrest report, the girl was held until 4 Wednesday afternoon before she was allowed to leave. That's the same time she was due to get off the bus.

The girl, who was not hurt, immediately ran home. Her mother thought she had been in school all day.

Deputies say Marcino admitted the girl was in her home all day and she did not try to contact her mother. She's charged with false imprisonment of a child under 13.
