Armed robbery of Riverview Circle K, detectives looking for suspects

Riverview, Florida -- Two men robbed a Circle K on Highway 301 early Thursday morning. 

Around 3:26 a.m. on January 16, two men entered the Circle K located at 11401 Hwy 301 S. and demanded money. One suspect went directly to the office and attempted to enter, but it was locked. The other suspect, armed with a black handgun, went behind the counter and collected an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes and placed them into a black bag.

Both suspects fled the store northbound on foot and then west on Symmes Road.

This robbery appears similar to another robbery which occurred on January 13, at the Radiant Food Store located at 2801 50th Street S. in Tampa.

The suspects are described as:

  • Suspect 1: White Hispanic male, 18-20-years-old, 170-190 lbs., Wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with "Aeropostale" in white lettering, dark blue jeans and black shoes
  • Suspect 2: White Hispanic male, 20-years-old, armed with a semi-automatic black handgun with a silver barrel, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with white "Zuhag" monkey logo on front, dark pants and gray sneakers. 

Anyone with any information reference these suspects is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 247-8200 or anyone with any information regarding the identity and whereabouts of these suspects and who wants to be eligible for a cash reward is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477), report anonymously online at or text "CSTB plus your tip" to C-R-I-M-E-S (274637).
