Tampa, FL - Just before 7 a.m. this morning, a 12-year-old female was walking to school with a group of friends. While the group was crossing 22nd Street in the crosswalk at Diana Street, the driver of a 2002 Chrysler failed to stop and hit the female who was walking behind the group.
The victim was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle told police that he did not see the child crossing the street. Police officers cited him for Failure to Yield to a Pedestrian at a Crosswalk.
