Polk County, Florida -- State Road 60 near Grape Hammock Street is in the process of re-opening after a tanker overturned earlier today.
Deputies say the semi was heading eastbound on Highway 60 near Grape Hammock Road when for unknown reasons the driver lost control, crossing westbound traffic and finally coming to rest on its side.
The driver was transported by ambulance to an area hospital with minor injuries.
A heavy-duty tow truck has arrived to remove the tanker. Authorities say the road should reopen to traffic in the next 30 minutes.
