Tampa, Florida -- Tampa Police officers have busted a Palmetto man for impersonating an officer.

Jonathan Stevens, 24, was driving a Chevy Tahoe with flashing red and blue emergency lights.

Police say he activated those lights to stop a Tampa officer so he could report a reckless driver at 17th Street N and 7th Avenue E.

They say he claimed to be a homeland security officer and had a gun and badge around his neck.

Stevens later admitted it was all a lie and he doesn't even have a concealed weapons permit.
