Seattle, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Seattle Mariners have finally landed a big free agent.

ESPN Deportes is reporting that the Mariners have agreed to a 10-year, $240 million deal with second baseman Robinson Cano.

The signing comes on the heels of a wild 24 hours in the Pacific Northwest, during which talks had reportedly broken off between the two sides when Cano representative Jay Z demanded a 10th year.

That doesn't seem to be the case, however, as the deal will apparently be finalized once Cano takes a physical.

A five-time All-Star, Cano has spent his entire nine-year career with the New York Yankees and finished fifth in American League MVP voting this past season after hitting .314 with 27 homers and 107 RBI - all team highs.

Cano, a two-time Gold Glove winner, is a lifetime .309 hitter with 204 home runs and 822 RBI in 1,374 games.
