David Price sits in the dugout during game 1 of the 2013 ALDS versus the Boston Red Sox.
St. Petersburg, Florida -- Tampa Bay Rays' star pitcher David Price, told reporters from the Times and the Tribune in a conference call Wednesday night, that he expects the Rays to trade him in the off-season.
"If you go with what's been done in the past, I guess you're going to have to think you're going to get traded," Price said, referring to the trades of Matt Garza and James Shields.
The Rays have control of Price for two more seasons, when Price is eligible for arbitration. He's expected to receive a raise for next season.
When asked if he would take a hometown discount, Price said it depends on what it is.
