UPDATE: Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Hardee, DeSoto Counties expired

Ruskin, Florida-- The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Hardee and DeSoto Counties Friday evening that lasted through 6:30 p.m. 

The storm was estimated to bring damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. It was originally located 5 miles north of Arcadia, moving north at 20 mph. 

Other locations included in the warning were Wauchula, Sweet Water, Zolpho Springs, Ona and Fort Green.
