RIVERVIEW, Florida - At the same time three men were captured in connection with the stabbing death of a 7-Eleven store clerk in Brandon on Wednesday, Hillsborough Co. sheriff's deputies and investigators swarmed the home of one of the suspects, which caught neighbors by surprise.

"I'm completely thrown off guard by this," said neighbor Adrian Jacobs. "I'm shocked, I'm absolutely shocked. I mean, I can't believe that it's actually him."

Residents tell 10 News that the man suspected of murdering 7-Eleven clerk Kenneth Redding, Lawrence Bongiovanni, had lived at 6248 Krycul Avenue in Riverview for about a year. They also say a second suspect, Russell Beasley, was his roommate.

"He's not vindictive or vicious, neither one of them are. They are sweet, quiet kids," said neighbor Shannon Audet.

But according to the Hillsborough Co. Sheriff's Office, surveillance video taken from inside the 7-Eleven tells a very different story about Bongiovanni.

"He waited in the store for quite a while, hidden, for the clerk to be alone, and that's when he attacked him," said Hillsborough Co. Sheriff David Gee.

Authorities say the video shows Bongiovanni stabbing the clerk several times before snatching lottery tickets and leaving the store.

Deputies say they were able to quickly identify the suspects when the tickets were cashed at area convenience stores.

Russell Beasley, 25, was caught with a third suspect now identified as Brandan Green in a 2000 Toyota Solara on I-75 near Fruitville Rd. in Sarasota County shortly after 6 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.

The charges facing them have not yet been released.

A deputy spotted Lawrence Bongiovanni walking along a roadway in Charlotte County. He is being booked into jail in that county on 1st degree murder charges.

A motive for the murder has not been released.
