Bartow, FL -- Much like Hillsborough County before it, Polk Commissioners are planning to discuss incentives to being an Amazon fulfillment center to Lakeland along County Line Rd.
The commission will discuss the possibility of offering the internet powerhouse a 75% reduction in property taxes, about $4.5 million in incentives.
Hillsborough Commissioners have already committed to taking similar steps in an attempt to lure Amazon to the Ruskin area. Last month, commissioners approved steps that would offer Amazon about $6.4 million in incentives in exchange for job creation guarantees.
