Spring Hill, Florida-- A local sub shop manager has been arrested after her claims of being robbed of the store's weekend cash deposit turned out to be "bologna".

According to Hernando County deputies, 39-year-old Susan Hart managed the Subway shop on the 5300 block of Spring Hill Dr., and called deputies Monday morning to say she was just robbed of the shop's weekend deposit.

She reportedly told deputies an unknown man got into her car, said he had "something that could hurt her" and demanded she drive to the intersection of Spring Hill Dr. and U.S. 19, where he got out and took the money.

Hart's version of the story ended with her returning to the sub shop and reporting the crime, but deputies say something just wasn't adding up.

...And it wasn't long before their continuing questions lead Hart to crumble. Officials say Hart confessed to making up the story, and actually stealing the shop's deposit herself.

She was arrested and charged with grand theft, and deputies say they returned the money to Subway.
