Record heat today showers tonight

A line of storms is moving east into the Nature Coast this evening. It is part of a low pressure system that will track to the Northeast Friday evening resulting in major snowfall of 1-3 feet. For us the storms in the Gulf will weaken this evening as they approach areas from New Port Richey northward.  A 40% chance of showers may be around this evening with another shot Friday as a cold front moves in.  Rain will be mostly south of Tampa Friday.

Tonight A 40 percent chance of showers before 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64. South southwest wind 6 to 9 mph. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Friday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 52. North wind 3 to 6 mph.

Saturday Sunny, with a high near 77. Northeast wind 5 to 8 mph.

Sunday Mostly sunny, with a high near 80. East southeast wind 8 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.
