ST. PETERSBURG, Florida - A 2-and-a-half year old boy who was crawling around on the makeshift bleacher stands during the East-West Shrine game Saturday evening fell in the gap area between the rows.
Lt. Joel Granata with St. Petersburg Fire Rescue says he spoke with paramedics, who say the child fell 15 feet. The toddler was alert when they arrived and he's currently at Bayfront Medical Center.
The child fell from the type of bleachers that pull out for extra stadium seating for football field configuration, rather than baseball.
The East-West Shrine game kicked off at 4 p.m. and the West won 28-13.
