Old man winter is taking a vacation and springlike, almost summerlike weather is headed our way for a week.  Winds will slowly turn  to the ESE over the next 24 hours bringing in warm and moist air.  Highs will be reaching the low 80s along the coast to mid 80s inland.  Record high temperatures are in the mid 80s.  The best chance to set a new record high will occur on Wednesday when we get close to 83 in Tampa, the record is 82 (1972).

The heat continues through the weekend and into the beginning of next week.  Winter returns with chilly temperatures late Wednesday of next week.  Just how cold it gets is still to be determined, but right now it looks like highs will dip to the 50s and 60s with lows into the 30s.  It doesn't look long lived but I will be tracking this closely.

Today: Partly cloudy skies with near record temperatures in the mid low to mid 80s.  Winds will be NE-E 10 mph.  There is a 20% chance for a shower mainly from Tampa southward.

Tonight: Partly cloudy skies with a patch or two of fog. Winds will be light from the E with lows in the mid 60s.

Wednesday: Partly sunny and warm with a high of 83.  The record is 82 set back in 1972.  Winds will be ESE 10 mph with a 10% chance for a shower.
