(USA TODAY) Maybe she was feeling unchained (feisty?) after splitting from one of the world's most famous, and famously controlling, men.
Last summer, just days after Katie Holmes filed for divorce from Tom Cruise, she shot a guest judging spot for Lifetime's Project Runway: All Stars. It aired Thursday night, and clearly, Holmes was feeling strong, criticizing a creation by frontrunning designer Anthony Ryan Auld - no matter that senior snipper sniper Isaac Mizrahi was a big fan of the dress.
"The thing that was upsetting to me was, 'I want all this hidden,' " Holmes said during the judges' powwow, referring to the real-woman model's desire to conceal vs. reveal her bust, "but my eye went straight there" - to her chest. (The challenge involved dressing military veterans.)
Mizrahi, looking annoyed, countered: "I really liked it and I will not hear this about how 'unflattering' the dress was."
Holmes' outfit, on the other hand, was understated chic: a navy shirtdress and long, slicked-back ponytail.
Have a gander at her turn as a fashion policewoman here.
